Film Poster Draft

This is the first draft of my poster done on Photoshop. I used an original image that I took of the killer with a chain looking deadly. His facial expression is ambiguous which added to the cynical look. also the effect of making the background makes him stand out amongst the basement and also give him the spotlight, indicating his importance in this film. The tagline is situated on the top of the poster with the main film name in big letters and a scratched type font. I have also included the release date and credits. However there needs to be production company logos and the credits need to be in a more appropriate font. also the tagline needs to be in a more visible font colour.

Film Poster Sketch 2

This is a second sketch of my poster. I decided to use a different image and a slightly different layout. The image was a  close up of the killer in a mask which was at the side of  the poster. It is taken as a close up to show the lack of emotion and the facial expressions of the killer. it also engages the audience and makes them want to be a part of the film. The tagline is on top of the film name which then has the credits and release information underneath so the viewers know when it will be in cinemas.

Film Poster Sketch

This is the first sketch of my film poster. I decided to choose an image that looked rather ambiguous to make the horror genre known. I like the use of the posture and the way the actor is positioned because it makes him look dangerous and a character with a sense of foreboding. The film name is enigma and that will run across the top of my poster with the tagline underneath. The credits and other important information will go along the bottom of the poster which is conventional and seen on many of the posters that I have looked at.

Film Poster Flat Plan

I have created a film poster flat plan to convey my ideas of how I want my poster to look. I decided to create an unconventional landscape poster. I wanted the main image to be taken in the location of the film therefore having it landscape but give it a more realistic effect. The film name will run across the bottom of the poster with the production companies and credit information. The names of the actors/actresses in the film will go across the top of the poster.
